Simultaneous detection of explosives and drugs

AACTS-3000 is a portable ion mobility spectrometer (IMS) developed by Anika Sterilis Private Limited. The device can simultaneously detect and analyse both explosives (like TATP, PETN, TNT e.t.c.) and narcotics (like THC, Cocaine, Heroin e.t.c.) in air samples. The AACTS-3000 can identify over 60 different substances and provide analysis results within 20 seconds. The device is compact, lightweight, and can be installed in vehicles, making it highly flexible for deployment in various settings. The AACTS-3000 has a wide range of applications like Detecting explosives and preventing terrorist attacks, identifying and disrupting drug trafficking operations, detecting human presence in enclosed spaces like shipping containers. The device utilises IMS technology to analyse fine particles and vapours, which is a well-established method for detecting chemical substances. The AACTS-3000 analysis device represents a significant advancement in security technology. Its ability to quickly and accurately detect both explosives and narcotics, along with its portability and flexibility, makes it a valuable tool for law enforcement agencies, security providers, and other organisations involved in counter-terrorism, drug interdiction, and human trafficking prevention.

Key Features and Capabilities:

The device utilises a polymer-coated filter card for air sampling. This card is inserted into a mobile sampling device that collects air from the object to be analysed. The filter card traps volatile organic compounds, particles and vapours. After sampling, the card is inserted into the AACTS-3000 device where the molecules are desorbed and analysed in a gaseous state. The device can identify over 60 different substances and provide analysis results within 20 seconds. Designed for field use and demanding conditions, the AACTS-3000 is compact, robust and easy to operate. The device features a large touch display for intuitive operation and displays analysis results in detail. Analysis results can be printed on-site, stored on external devices, or uploaded due to the cloud. The sampling process can be conducted in temperatures ranging from -30 degree Celsius to +50 degree Celsius. Various sampling accessories are available for analysing different objects, including individuals, luggage, vehicles and shipping containers.

Recognition:

The AACTS-3000 analysis device received the 2018 Platinum Award in the USA as the best detection system for CBRNE substances (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives). The AACTS analysis device is a state-of-the-art technology that provides rapid and accurate detection of various substances.
